just did battle with a vbr...

this one was a big ass hairy bear, I swear. As you may or may not know I've taken to only posting x264 vids either scenes or full movies only at http://hardcoreforum.com/index.php . The last one I converted was a super bitch to get to work. V-dub reported errors of the sample rate when trying to combine after converting each part to cbr and before converting to x264. Odd thing was v-dub and also Gspot reported that both converted parts had a frame rate of 29.970 and 128 cbr audio. So it should have join using v-dub with no problems. But it kept saying that the frame rates were not the same yet both were 29.970. So it looked like I was up chitt creek without said paddle. While Avidemux2 probably would have worked I decided to try another really kool proggy. Its called Super and its free too. The thing about Super is it can convert just about any type of video you can name. Ipod, QT, RM, Avi, Wmv, Swf... it does it all. Whats really good about it is all the options you can set. Frame rate, aspect ratio, size, bit rate and any install codec on you machine for either video or audio. So I let Super tackle this bear... while it did take awhile to complete it did a great job. Reason it took so long is I went back to the original vbr coded files and converted to cbr, x264 and changed their bit rate all in one pass. So if you ever encounter any bears keep Super in mind.
